Karla Palomo is a correspondent based in New York for El Financiero | Bloomberg TV.
She specializes in business, economics and finance and also reports on politics and other current issues that affect Latin America and U.S. Hispanics.


Fluent in English and Spanish, Palomo has worked across multiple platforms for the past decade and secured numerous exclusive interviews with heads of state, finance ministers, central bankers, as well as leaders in business and entertainment, making top headlines.


Palomo’s on-air experience includes five years at Bloomberg News, where she worked as a TV/radio anchor and reporter, covering the main economies of Latin America as well as the financial crisis. Prior to joining Bloomberg in 2004, she worked at Univision in Chicago as an assignment editor and writer and as a TV reporter for Univision’s affiliate in Sacramento, California. She was also the first Hispanic journalist to anchor and produce financial news broadcasts in Spanish from the Chicago Stock Exchange. Also, she hosted a weekly personal finance radio show from the Nasdaq designed to increase financial literacy among U.S. Hispanics.


Her work has also been published on Yahoo!, Fox News Latino and several international publications such as Perfil in Argentina.


Palomo earned a B.A. from Columbia College Chicago, where she graduated with honors and an M.S. in Journalism from Columbia University's Graduate School of Journalism.  In 2011, she was awarded the prestigious Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economics and Business Journalism for one year of studies at Columbia Business School.
